All told tours is an organisation dedicated to introducing you to the City of London in a leisurely, informed and entertaining way. The City of London, the financial heart of England’s capital, is known as the 'Square Mile' and as such it is perfect for walking tours. In the space of a few minutes you can move from Roman Times to the 21st Century, from Wren churches to cathedrals of commerce, from medieval Guild Halls to modern market places, from street art to state-of-the-art architecture and from ancient graveyards to green oases. Every square foot has a story to tell and on foot is the best way to hear those stories told by a fully qualified, prize-winning walking-tour guide.

Every ‘All Told Tours’ walk includes information on the history, geography, governance and heritage of the City of London. Highlights will be pointed out and the City’s long dead and mythical characters will be brought alive by your guide. As well as a general introduction to the City, each tour will focus on a particular theme. You are invited to choose from any one of the following:

  • Wren Churches
    Of over 50 churches built by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London in 1666 only a couple of dozen remain. This tour takes you through the stories of some still thriving and the sites of others lost.
  • Stage and Screen
    Shakespeare, Sweeney Todd, Da Vinci Code etc. Walk in the footsteps of people who have played starring roles in the City’s past and present.
  • Arts and Parks
    A tour around some of the finest public art and open spaces to be found in any capital city.
  • Trading Places
    From Coffee Houses to Cyber Markets, from Lloyd's to Leadenhall, this tour takes in buildings, sites and sculptures associated with the trading past and present of one of the world’s leading financial centres.
  • St Paul’s to Smithfield
    From the City’s iconic religious centre to a secular site of trading since the 11th Century, this tour takes you past some of the grim and grizzly sights of the City.
  • Arts and Letters
    This tour invites you to look up, down and around the side streets and alley ways of the western side of the City of London to see some surprising works of art and to find the signs of the literary giants who used to live and work here.
