Daire receives her Certificate and the Katrine Prince Prize for practical guiding from Lord Mayor David Lewis Freedom of the City of London Daire Brehan is a barrister (and former BBC Radio 4 and World Service Broadcaster) who has lived and worked in the Inner Temple since 2004. Her interest in the City of London grew from her curiosity about her own surroundings and her desire to better answer the many questions her guests would ask her about the conservation area in which she resides.

In 2008 Daire received her certificate in City of London Guiding from City University. She became a member of the City of London Guide Lecturers Association and an associate member of the Tourist Guiding Association. In that year too she was awarded the Katrine Prince Prize for practical guiding.

In 2009 Daire received the freedom of the City of London from the clerk of the Chamberlain's Court in Guildhall . This is said to give her the right to drive sheep across London Bridge, walk the streets of London with her sword drawn and be drunk and disorderly without fear of arrest but she does not intend to test this out any time soon. She is however, proud to be a part of the history of the city she has come to love and would be very happy to show you the sights and let you in on some of the secrets of the City at the heart of the city, of London.
